Join the Tennessee River Rescue effort with Outdoor Chattanooga and the Gear Closet as we clean up the Tennessee River by canoe! Our team will launch from Wolftever Boat Ramp and enjoy a scenic 1-mile paddle to Rabbit Island, collecting trash and debris along the way to help protect our waterways and wildlife. Participants are also welcome to bring their own canoe or kayak. Expect about 3 hours on the water, 9:00 am start time. FREE: Pre-registration is required, as space is limited. MORE INFO: The Tennessee River Rescue is a massive annual, community-led clean-up event celebrating 38 years! It is typically scheduled the first Saturday of October annually with many other opportunities for river clean ups year round. This event covers multiple cleanup sites spanning 12 different counties across Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia.
