About this Course

Discover the wonders of the great outdoors with Outdoor Chattanooga! Join us for a leisurely-paced 4-mile hike on TVA's Little Cedar Mountain trail near Nickajack Lake. The hike is rated as moderate, as the ground can be uneven with rocks and has two gradual climbs and two descents totaling about 350 feet in elevation gain/loss. Winding past limestone outcroppings and historical stone walls you'll be rewarded with scenic views of Nickajack Lake and the surrounding mountains. Learn about Little Cedar Mountain's wide variety of plant and animal life along the way and during ample breaks. Appropriate for ages 10 and up with a participating adult. Cost: Free. Registration opens 2 weeks in advance and closes 2 days in advance. Space is limited. Confirmation information with trip details will be sent 2 days in advance.
