Led by an experienced naturalist, Outdoor Chattanooga staff will guide participants along The Shirley Miller Wildflower Trail. This trail features a quarter-mile-long handicap-accessible boardwalk, protecting the delicate wildflowers. Beyond the boardwalk, a rugged section extends along a mountain stream to Pocket Creek Falls, offering a 0.9-mile round-trip hike with abundant wildflowers. Additional wildflowers can be spotted along the Pocket Loop Trail and in other areas of the Pocket. For those seeking a longer adventure, the 9-mile Pocket Loop Trail leads to High Point on Pigeon Mountain. During peak wildflower season, weekends may bring crowds to the area. This program is free but all trail user MUST purchase a $10 day pass to access. Transportation is provided to & from trailhead.
