For adults aged 50 and above, we present Silver Adventures—an exceptional opportunity to immerse yourself in nature under the guidance of our expert outdoor team. With a focus on personalized experiences, we maintain low group ratios to ensure individualized attention, and provide all necessary recreational equipment. Join Outdoor Chattanooga for a calm-water kayak adventure up Sale Creek near Dayton. This scenic creek is a tributary of the Tennessee River and, due to its proximity to the lake’s confluence, features gently backfilled waters that create ideal paddling conditions for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. Our experienced guide staff will provide basic instruction and help you get acquainted and launched in our stable and easy to paddle 14-foot recreational kayaks, along with life jackets and paddles. After a brief orientation, we’ll set out at a leisurely pace to explore the quiet inlet, paddle among blooming lily pads, and take in the peaceful surroundings. This relaxed out-and-back trip offers endless opportunities to observe aquatic wildlife, from wading birds to turtles and fish beneath the surface.
