Join Outdoor Chattanooga on a short and moderate rated guided hike on the Roaring Creek section of the Cumberland Trail. Marvel at the moss covered rocks and fall colors as we hike a repurposed mining railbed alongside the beautiful Roaring Creek. Then, a steady climb leads to a ridge with a rewarding overlook of the surrounding landscape. Bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy at the overlook. This is an approximately 4 mile hike, out and back, rated moderate in difficulty, with a trail that occasionally has uneven terrain, including balancing and stepping over roots, logs, and rocks. Parking at the trailhead can be limited, so carpooling is recommended if possible!
