Join Outdoor Chattanooga for another Full Moon Adventure, this one a unique blend of mindfulness, art, and ecological awareness, all set beneath the soft glow of the Strawberry Moon. Gather with us on the TN Riverwalk at the "Moonrise" art installation at the Wheland Foundry trailhead. This program sets intentional moments of reflection with a short trail walk to celebrate, nature, history, community, and connection to place. Guest partner, Waterways, will provide insight nestling in the shadow of a historic foundry site, Chattanooga Creek carries stories in its currents. Once surrounded by heavy industry, this waterway now reflects a hopeful story of restoration. You'll learn how local efforts have revived the creek and how its transformation mirrors the intentions of the night: renewal, attention, and care. Enjoy seasonal snacks and drinks inspired by the Strawberry Moon, a name given by Indigenous cultures to honor the ripening fruit of early summer. Celebrate the sweetness of the season with community, creativity, and care. Director of the Office of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy- Carmen Davis will help you navigate through the Moonrise installations, designed to shimmer under the moon’s gaze, and experience interactive art that responds to light, sound, and presence. Let the Strawberry Moon inspire your senses—and maybe even your spirit. REGISTRATION is requested!
