Outdoor Chattanooga and Tennessee River Gorge Trust have partnered to offer an unforgettable kayak experience through the Tennessee River Gorge. Join us for a scenic paddle where you can learn about this stunning section of the river and TRGT's efforts in protecting the gorge. As you glide through the water, you'll discover the river's beauty and the fascinating flora and fauna of the area. This leisurely paddle is beginner-friendly and a wonderful way to experience the Gorge at sunset. Participants will paddle a breathtaking 4.4-mile stretch of river right in Chattanooga’s backyard, guided by experienced guides and TRGT field staff. The trip will take approximately 2 hours on the water, starting at the Raccoon Mountain Boat Ramp and ending at Sullivan's Landing on Highway 41. Outdoor Chattanooga will provide kayaks, life jackets, and a van shuttle from the take-out point back to the vehicles at Raccoon Mountain. All paddlers are required to use Outdoor Chattanooga kayaks to ensure a consistent speed and ease of loading onto the trailer.
