Explore one of the Southeast’s most breathtaking natural corridors on a guided paddle through the Tennessee River Gorge. This 9-mile downriver kayak tour begins at the Suck Creek launch and winds through the scenic heart of the gorge, offering sweeping views of towering cliffs, hardwood forests, and native wildlife. Along the way, our experienced guides will share information about the area’s natural history, geology, and ecology, while helping to improve your paddling technique and ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience on the water. This is a point-to-point paddle ending at the Raccoon Mountain boat ramp, with shuttle service provided. Moderate current, open river conditions, and a 9-mile distance make this trip best suited for paddlers with some prior kayaking experience and reasonable fitness. Appropriate for ages 16 and up. Equipment is provided. Registration opens 2 weeks before the program date and closes 2 days prior. Additional trip details will be shared a few days before your adventure.
