Saturday, November 2, 10:30 AM – Noon City as Canvas: Mural Walking Tour Age group: Adults. Kids are welcome to attend as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Location: Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37403 In partnership with the Hunter Museum, Public Art Chattanooga invites you to take a mural walking tour of the Bluff and MLK areas. The tour will commence at the Hunter Museum at the mural by artist Rondell Crier and culminate on MLK at artist Kevin Bate's mural. Special guests will be joining along the way to speak about their work. Participants are welcome to continue to explore that area after the tour, enjoy lunch on MLK, or to come back to the Hunter Museum to visit the City as Canvas exhibit afterwards. Registration is required. The walking tour is free. A waiver must be signed upon registration or on site the day of the tour. Regular Hunter Museum admission rates apply to the City as Canvas exhibit. In the event of bad weather, registrants will be contacted about an alternative date for the event. Comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing are encouraged. Attendees are invited to park in the Bluff district and walk from the Hunter to the MLK mural district, a distance of 1.3 miles, before a return walk to the Bluff district at the end of the tour. Alternately participants are welcome to drive from the Hunter to the first destination on MLK (AT&T Building at 300 E. MLK) but should note that street parking in that area can be limited.
